Snow in Spring

A few weeks ago, Nabel woke up me at night cuz it was snowing outside. I ran out from the house and dance in the middle of the dark for a few good minutes over some wet snow.
This morning, Kak Ngah’s “IT’S SNOWING OUTSIDE” woke me up. I jumped out from the bed and straight away open my bedroom window.
It snowed heavily.
I still remember the sound of my laughter. I was in awe plus I couldn’t believe my eyes. It’s already spring so I thought I’ve no hope with snow.
We sat by the window, watching the snow flakes fell from the sky. So soft and fluffy.
Like a child I asked Kak Ngah if I can go out and play. “Put your jacket on” said Kak Ngah. I know it’s freezing cold outside and I’m still sick but that ain’t gonna stop me from having my little moments.
Yes, I did my silly dance.
While doing that I tilt my head because I want to feel the snowflakes landed on my skin and I laughed at every drop of it upon my face.
That moment was magical and special. I’ve got to share it with my sister.
Thank you Kak Ngah.

Today's reflection.

I've had things that I know some would die (exaggerating) if not would love to have it.
Great job, with great pay.
0 commitment.
Financially or relationship-wise.
I'm a free woman.
Free as in, I can do almost anything that I wanted to.
Over the past two years (almost) I've been trying to figure out what I actually wanted to do.
I've taken a certification.
Took up assignments that I'm able to do work from home.
Did my home-based/home cook meal thing.
I could say that my life has transformed from the formal working attire to the most laid-back I can dress up however I wanted to.
I wasn't happy with the 9-5 thing, but it was super lonely on the WFH assignments.

Incy Wincy Spider

It was Baby's turn to do his reading. So he sat on my lap and starts to repeat after me. Up until this sentence. "Out came the sunshine..." He remained silent. I repeat the sentence again only to be answered by a snore.
"Baby..." I called.
Snores
"Baby..." I called again.
He snores louder than before.
I couldn't help it but laugh.
"Baby!"
He purposely snores louder and longer.
"You cheeky boy"...

Gaelic

4+4=
"Count that in Irish then tell Achu what's the answer"
"A haon, a dó, a trí, ceithre, cúig, sé, seacht, naoi" Noah counted.
"How many?" I asked
"Naoi" he answered
"What's that in English"
"Nine?"
"But how many marbles are there?"
"Eight"
"So Naoi, is not the right number in Irish"
"But I dont remember what's eight in Irish"
"Go ask your Babel"
"Does he know?"
"Of course"

So off we go to Nabel's room while Baby is hanging on my back.
Noah went straight to his Babel who was doing his revision.
He slowly put his hands on the table, then rests his chin on it.

"Babel," he called.
Nabel put down his pen, then answered "Yes"
"What is eight in Irish?" he asked while looking at the big brother so eagerly.
"Errr..."
"You better have the answer else Achu will smack you".
Counted silently in Irish.
"Ocht"
"O what...?"
"Ocht . O-hot"
"Oooooo...."

Canada

It has been ages since I last lie down with the eldest boy.
He let me hug him and play with his curly hair.
We spoke about his plan; then I asked: “Where do you plan to work?”
He replied ” I dunno, probably Canada”
“That’s faraway” I commented
“I know, I’ll bring everyone with me.” he added
“Will you bring Achu with you?”
“Everyone” he answered.
I have no clue what the future will hold, but that 5 minutes conversation brought back some good memories when he was small and wouldn’t mind me hold his hand while we roam around the grey city.
Achu loves you Babel.

Meet Me There

We don’t have to agree on everything.

We can agree to disagree and I hope you will meet me halfway.

.

Truth is, it's no longer about what you said and promised.
But what you did, instead.
My heart is heavy for the fear of losing us once again.
